Invaders

Definition:

Invaders constitute Shanmugha College of Engineering hostlers, who occupied room numbers 225 to 230(PV), for the period 2000 to 2001.

Amendment 1 :

It also involves seniors and juniors who later joined the group and become one among the group.

Amendment 2:

Any one who played for Invaders cricket team can proudly call themselves invaders. Ex Senthil(Pallu)

Amendment 3:

Those who reside in 225-230 rooms but were not able to be in sync with other invaders are excluded from the definition. KSK, PVS etc.

Naming:

Inavders was named so, under heavy pressure, to have a self proclaimed identity for the cricket team which comprises of 225-230 hostel inmates. It was named by Kottai Kaarthi. And latter renamed by Srihari to Invaders for Ever(‘invaders4ever’), just outside of 226 room. Once the name was heard, everybody was so happy and it was accepted immediately.

Formation:

Technically, the group exists as Yahoo group and Google group. Apart from this yearly get together are planned and executed.

Special Groups:

IIB: Invaders Investigation Bureau, created and administered by Nana and Madhu. The job is to collect intelligence about Invader’s illicit activities and present them as a report with evidence. Even though everybody claims themselves as IIB’s director, the real ones are working in stealth.

Inavders, Bangalore: Bangalore special action group headed by Ramba.
